About
Nadera is a climate resilience and sustainability professional as well as a contemporary abstract artist, whose work is deeply influenced by her advocacy for environmental and social change. Of Uzbek heritage and raised in Australia, she explores the intersection of cultural tradition and modern influences, weaving together elements of Central Asian artistry with contemporary abstraction.
Inspired by the intricate patterns of Uzbek silk weaving and the diverse landscapes she has encountered, Nadera’s compositions resemble patchwork topographies—layered, textured, and rich with meaning. Her signature brushwork, characterized by sweeping upward and downward strokes in oil paint, reflects both her cultural roots and a bold, modern aesthetic.
Sustainability is at the heart of her practice. By repurposing canvas and linen offcuts, she transforms discarded materials into purposeful works of art, reinforcing her commitment to environmental consciousness and creative innovation.
Through abstraction, Nadera captures the uncertainty and urgency surrounding climate action, using her art as a visual dialogue on identity, memory, and our collective responsibility to the planet. As she continues to evolve her practice, she remains dedicated to bridging tradition with contemporary discourse, creating pieces that are both deeply personal and universally resonant.
