Nadera Rasulova (b. 1992) lives and works in the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.
She is an emerging abstract artist whose work explores the connection between cultural memory, materials, and environmental awareness. Drawing on her Uzbek heritage and her upbringing in Australia, she examines the relationships between tradition and modern life, place and identity, permanence and change.
Her paintings are layered and textured, often suggesting abstract landscapes built through sweeping vertical strokes and deliberate shifts in texture. Inspired by the patterns of Uzbek silk weaving and the landscapes she has experienced, her compositions bring together gesture and colour to create works that feel both personal and universal.
Through abstraction, Nadera invites viewers to think about how environment influences identity and memory. Her paintings create spaces for reflection, encouraging an awareness of the shifting cultural, personal, and planetary landscapes that shape our lives.
